A Top 5 fit for a King!
The title of King is one the highest positions of powers that people across the world have yearned and fought for (maybe because you get a fancy crown and comfy velvet robe?). For everyone else, the King meant the ruler of a kingdom who called all the shots, where you just really hoped they were a kind King and not the type that believes in you know…an ol’fashion beheading. But what makes a good King or rather interesting King? This week we’ll find out! Join Tuong La and Royal Court Jesters/ Pull the Plug’s Justin Godelie, Shannon Godelie, and Dan Foerster as they obey the royal decree of the PodCavern and all hail the Top 5 Kings list!
Celebrating 100 episodes of Ranked!
Almost 4 years ago there was an idea. An idea of Tuong uniting three other guests to bicker, banter, and passionately put together arbitrary Top 5 lists of anything and everything. Over the last few years we have ranked everything from Sandwich Toppings, to TV Theme Songs, to a variety of Fictional Animals. But for the 100th episode, we knew we had to go above and beyond to make a list that TRULY does not matter that also honours the legacy of all Ranked episodes (so far).
So join us as Tuong La and the A-Team Angus MacDonald, Samantha Leggatt, and Leslie Cserepy look back on all of the winners of each Top 5 list we have ever done, pit them together in a battle royale of which #1 was the best, and record a marathon episode where we rank and order ONE HUNDRED EPISODES in Ranked’s 100th Episode Spectacular!
The world may have put Broadway on hold for the rest of the 2020, but the silver lining is we got Lin Manuel Miranda’s groundbreaking musical on the home screen a year early! This week on Talkin’ Tuong, join Tuong and special guest Nivala Maharaj as they don’t throw away their shot to talk about the smash hit and global phenomenon – Hamilton (now streaming on Disney Plus)!
Mario is arguably the most iconic video game character of all time. So join Tuong La and Ninten-Nerds Alex Toth, Brian Costa, and Dan Foerster as they eat a power-up mushroom and storm their way through Bowser’s castle while ranking a Top 5 Super Mario games list!
On this week’s Punch Up there’s no guest!? That’s right there’s no one joining Leslie and Angus in the PodCavern so they can relax and let their hair down. This week we see Mario and Luigi seek to find who put kale in their fridge, Georgie goes back for his boat (keen eared listeners might hear some kind of easter egg) and The Hardy Boys quit solving mysteries and live a normal life.
DADDY IS BACK IN THE BUILDING! Tuong has found his way back from god knows where to Punch Up some scenes with Leslie and Angus. Join us as try to figure out the chain of command, Wolverine goes on a quest to make himself clean, and we find out once and for all who is the real faker!
