Hey Bae, hope you are ready to get turnt up to some lit tunes!

We did the 80’s, we did the 90’s, and then the 2000’s, so the time has come to finally listen to the tunes of the 2010 decade ! The 2010’s were a huge leap in the music industry with the rise of streaming services and having every song at your finger tips. The songs of the 2010s did wonders for many genres like pop, hip-hop, R&B, and saw the rise of EDM and all sorts of electronic music. We even saw more genre-blending and the breaking of traditional boundaries between categories of music. So join Tuong La and his music rankin’ fam Axandre Lemours, Colleen Wang, and Victoria Luloff as they ‘low-key’ go ‘YOLO’ and bring you a Top 5 2010’s list that is definitely ‘on fleek’.

Ground Rules

  • Music has to have been released in the 2010’s (Duh!)
  • Songs that were released in any other decade and popularized in the 2010’s don’t count
  • Music can be from any genre in the 2010’s
  • Covers of songs from a different decade are a bit dicey. We will possibly count it depending on how iconic the cover is.
  • Some songs definitely came out in the 2010’s but they aren’t “2010’s-ass songs” which could affect them being on this list. (ie they feel like they belong in a different decade). Therefore, songs that invoke the decade will get ‘points’ over others.
