DD61 – Strange World (2022)

Jaeger Clade may be hard as nails, blazing trails, the manliest of guys, but that doesn’t mean his son Searcher wants to follow in his footsteps as an explorer…but fate has other plans for this family. Adventure down to a new and Strange World with the Clades, the Dummies, and company (both two- and three-legged) in this fun family film (and stealth biology lesson). If there’s one thing you take away from this story, let it be this: this world, this world we live in today, is a pretty strange world too.

DD60 – Encanto (2021)

Zip down to Colombia with the Dummies to meet the members of the family Madrigal…including the one we don’t talk about. Dance your heart out while it breaks to Surface Pressure, fall in love with Dos Oruguitas, and bust a move to THAT song over and over again in one of Disney’s most colourful, creative, and caring films in recent memory. And remember, listeners – the miracle is you.

DD59 – Raya and the Last Dragon (2021)

The Dummies are journeying into new worlds with Raya and the Last Dragon – specifically, the world of Kumandra, a land made up of five warring kingdoms, each of which covet the powerful Dragon Gem. The stakes are high and the dragons are full of laughs in this land-spanning adventure, which comes with an important lesson: In a world full of Druuns, be a Sisu.

DD58 – Frozen II (2019)

You weren’t REALLY ready to let it go, were you? Journey into the unknown with the Dummies, Anna, Elsa, and the whole Arendelle squad as they venture into the Enchanted Forest and beyond to discover their family’s true history – and the secrets that only Ahtohallan knows.

DD57 – Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018)

Our favourite video game villain is back…and he’s on that vigilante shit again. Our old pals Wreck-It Ralph and Vanellope von Schweetz are about to face the ultimate test...

DD56 – Moana (2016)

Make way for one of Disney’s best original stories in decade: the future Chief herself, Moana of Motunui. The Dummies will definitely consider the coconut as they voyage along on this epic adventure across the seas to find Maui, discover the heart of Te Fiti, and perhaps even repair her family and their community along the way. Because at the end of the day, don’t we all just want someone to know who we are?

DD55 – Zootopia (2016)

Zootopia: Come for the cute, fluffy bunny and the Shakira song, stay for the lessons on the harms of stereotyping and why you should never call a bunny “cute”! This week, the Dummies are learning a thing or two from Judy Hops – that’s Officer Hops to you – and her new friend Nick Wilde as they embark on a mission through a world where animals can surprise us (and them!) at every turn.

DD54 – Big Hero 6 (2014)

The Disney Dummies are holding out for a Hiro – and may have got more than they bargained for with Big Hero 6. With a high-stakes plot and an unforgettable cast of characters (were lookin’ at you, Aunt Cass), this movie’s emotional gut punches are matched only by its final Hail Mary rocket-fist thruster punch…but we promise that it’ll leave you satisfied with your care.
