Ground Rules

  • Movies must have come out in 2023
  • Does NOT need to be an Oscar contender.
  • Some movies came out last year don’t qualify for this year’s Oscars. We don’t really care about that. As long as it came out in 2023 it’s fair game to us
  • “Specials” don’t count as movies. (ie Comedy Specials)
  • Movies that are on our list are OUR favorite movies of 2022 and therefore don’t need to be considered the “best” for everyone else.
  • Documentaries count
  • Some movies came out in 2022 but had a wider release in 2023. If by and large it was more accessible in 2023 (like it had an international release in 2023) then that counts.

Tuong as a lover of Blackberry and Taylor as someone who said a true fact that The Social Network is the best “brand” movie, you guys have to watch Tetris. Stupid AppleTV is hogging all the good content; I’m so sad people missed this movie.

Also why am I just catching up with Ranked since fall only to discover it’s ending, rip. Thanks for making this space so silly and fun and really meaningful for all the joy it’s brought me and my friends (fellow useless listers). Tuong you gotta drop your letterboxd so I can see your movie opinions forever. Thanks for everything!

Lmao okay love you all This was an absolute delight as always and I hope we go out with this iconic foursome.

Thanks for the comment!! Yes not to worry there’s still over a year of this podcast and plenty of episodes in our backlog you can check out 🙂

Also definitely adding Tetris to the list!
